BARCLAY DAMON SAVES MILLIONS FOR HEATING OIL SUPPLIER CLIENT
Sued by the State of New York under Article 12 of the New York State Navigation Law for clean-up costs relating to a home heating-oil spill, a heating oil supplier sought Barclay Damon’s representation to defend against the multimillion-dollar lawsuit. Led by Matthew J. Larkin, Barclay Damon’s Mass & Toxic Torts Practice Area argued that the underground storage tank on the property was leaking due to causes unrelated to our client’s activities. Thanks to our attorneys’ rigorous defense, the client saw the case settled for a fraction of the amount of alleged damages.
